  I saw just 1 Google review and 2 other reviews when I tried to determine if I wanted to contact A-1 Maytag to come fix our expensive, in-wall refrigerator. All of the reviews were more than 12 months old and rather negative. I was concerned, but the other repair service option that Kitchen-Aid gave me had even worse reviews. The service I got was FABULOUS! I contacted A-1 Maytag on Friday December 30. We had already had one service company tell us the 10-year old refrigerator couldn't be fixed. A-1 initially told me that they generally only serviced what sell, while being very sympathetic to my problem. After the person who took my call talked to his service manager, he said they would try to see what they could do, but didn't promise anything. The service manager called me back later and said he thought they could fix it, but needed to order an expensive kit (5% of the cost of the refrigerator). Three (3!) working days later at 0900 they called and asked if they could come put it in. They basically had to replace the whole control system. Very clean. Very professional. Very personable. Happy wife. Happy (cheap) husband. Happy life.
